Valentine's Day

f 3.2,1/40,ISO-80,focal 13mm,auto, flash
My son brought me these beautiful red tulips for Valentines day.  I enjoy taking macro shots and am working on trying to improve on them.  I think some type of spot light to get rid of some of the shadows would help this shot.  I have another shot with less shadow but I think that this shot is overall clearer.   I like the bright yellow on the inside of tulip.

Belknap Mill: The makings of a sock.

f/4.8,1/200,ISO-80,Focal 70 mm,Flash - auto
This picture was part of an assignment for the Clicker's Camera Club. I wanted to take a different aspect of a knitting machine.

I love this blue yarn next to the metal.  Wish I had diffused the flash.

Dawn on Winnisquam Lake

f/4.5,1/640 sec,ISO-80,Bias -0.3 step,16mm
no flash, compulsory

Every morning as I drive to work, I see beautiful views along Lake Winnisquam.  I finally stopped to take a picture.  I hope to do this more often.. although that means getting up earlier.  I feel so fortunate living in the lakes region.. so much beautiful scenery.

My friend's youngest son: looking into the future.

My friend's oldest son.

He was looking out the window as we chatted about things he liked to do, especially outside.
Above left is the orginal picture. My friend
suggested I try some portraits of people in black and white (see right).  I also cropped it a little.

Spending time with his son.
