On my way home from work, I took the advice of my photography teacher and took a side road on my way home to see something different. I walked on the railroad bridge, in back of the Citizen building and saw quite a few ducks and seagulls bedding down for the evening so to speak. I saw this one duck that caught my eye, mostly white head in the back, black and brown body with white stripes on the back . Looks like a yellow eye. After much looking and discussion with a friend, we determined that this is a Hooded Merganser Drake. Here are a couple of picturesof it with other ducks in the background:

Black and white
